BeFreePima.com is a youth substance abuse prevention Website project of the Community Prevention Coalition. BeFreePima.com is made possible by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Strategic Prevention Framework, State Incentive Grant (SPFSIG) out of the Governor’s Office, Department of Children, Youth and Families awarded to Compass Behavioral Health Care, Inc. in 2006.
Pima County Youth, between the ages of 12 and 25 years of age are invited to join the Community Prevention Coalition's Youth Website Advisory Committee (YWAC) in order to contribute ideas for features and content for BeFreePima.com, and actively to promote the reduction of underage drinking and other substance abuse in their schools, neighborhoods and homes.
